Shakespeare Saturdays present…

Shakespeare Saturdays Shorts

Two days before Shakespeare’s birthday, we’re launching “Shakespeare
Saturdays Shorts!” New short plays will be presented as readings.
They’re all written by a new generation of writers who were inspired
by Shakespeare! Please join us for a fun afternoon of free
entertainment! Here are the new plays:

“The Decapitation of Thomas Kent”
written and directed by Michael Hagins

“Our Hamlet”
written by James Bosley and directed by Shana Solomon

“Lady in Waiting”
written by Duncan Pflaster and directed by Shana Solomon

“Poker? I Don’t Even Know ‘Er!”
written by Dawn Jones and directed by Lori Kee

“Martin Luther King, Mercutio and Dreams”
written by Donna L. Stearns and directed by Michael Hagins

“Shakespeare’s Revenge”
written by Phil Reissman and directed by Kate Downey

“Hold Thy Peace, Thou Knave”
written by Duncan Pflaster and directed by Lori Kee

“Wenches and Ale”
written and directed by Michael Hagins

With the acting talents of Abraham Adams, Bix Windbiel, Caitlin LaBarge,
Einar Gunn, Jack DeLorenzo, Jessica Kelly, John Sartori, Kate Downey,
Katie Poklemba, Mark Levy, Reynaldo Piniella, Stephanie Sottile, Trino
Maldonado, and Xavier Rodney.

…A-Train to Dyckman (200th St.): The library is north of the subway
exit, right on that block.
…1-Train to Dyckman: Walk west a few blocks to Broadway. Turn
north on Broadway and it’s on that block.
